Our winter concert explores the profound beauty found in life's fleeting moments through a specially commissioned triptych by composer Nicholas Weininger. Setting texts by Sara Teasdale, Edna St. Vincent Millay, and Robert Frost — including our namesake poem Nothing Gold Can Stay — these new works anchor an evening of music that contemplates ephemerality, memory, and the precious nature of all that passes. Surrounding these premiere pieces, we'll present complementary works that deepen our meditation on winter's quiet revelations and the tender awareness that comes from knowing nothing lasts forever.
